Cart Path Use in Hot Weather

We often do not think about how the extreme hot weather affects the turf on the golf course, but it can be very stressful just as it can be for us players. Traffic patterns can cause lasting damage that takes weeks to rehab after severe stress.

USGA Agronomist Site Visit July 23

The Whitefish Lake Golf Club will be hosting their annual visit by the regional USGA Agronomist Larry Gilhuly on July 23 starting at 10 a.m. The visits afford the staff another set of eyes to view the course and examine the conditions followed by a report of recommendations to continue to improve the facility. This year we will be looking at the greens and tees as usual, but will also ask Larry to look at potential future expansion the South Course Putting green and improvements to the short game practice area.
