Spring sports resume after weather-related cancellations

Some spring snow canceled Whitefish sports last week, but they値l be back at it again this week.

The track team was scheduled for a warm-up dual in Flathead last Tuesday before heading to Frenchtown on Saturday. Both events were canceled.

The team got their season underway Tuesday after presstime instead, at the Flathead Time Trials.

On Saturday they値l compete in the Missoula County Public Schools Invitational in Missoula, starting at 10 a.m.

Tennis had their season openers at Ronan and Polson canceled last week as well.

They hosted Columbia Falls on Tuesday and will head to Cut Bank for the Cut Bank Invitational on Saturday.

The softball team will open their season this week as well, playing Browning on Tuesday after presstime and hosting Columbia Falls on Thursday. That will be a doubleheader starting at 3:30 p.m.
